The main difference between Folding and Individual Panel Sliding Systems is that, Folding Systems consist of panels hinged together in a train. When open, the panels remain 90 degrees to the track. With Individual Panel Sliding Systems, each panel is supported by two carriers and is moved independently into position. When open, the panels can be stacked outside the plane of the opening. Frames are available in aluminum, wood, or aluminum-clad wood.
